I started this in the middle of October 2007. Partially because I want to try to see how long I can continue blogging, and partially to keep up with others (goings on and whatnot).
I teach in Seoul, South Korea. I have been for the past 2 years now (I’m on my 3rd year as we speak). When I’m not at work, I’m either busy: sleeping, reading, watching TV (from time to time), or with my girlfriend 지현(whom I care about deeply ^_^).
From time to time, I pick up my violin and practice a bit. But normally, that’s from my girlfriend’s request (she also wants me to teach her, which I’m more than happy to do).
I’m currently on a reading binge again. I just finished Douglas Adams’ book series “The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy,” which I thoroughly enjoyed; and I’ve read 3 books by Murakami Haruki (“A Wild Sheep Chase,” “Dance Dance Dance,” “The Elephant Vanishes”).
This of course all started (again) when I picked up and read the entire Harry Potter series (which I enjoyed), some books by Paulo Coehlo, and Mitch Albom. Since July, I’ve read maybe 20 books now (2007.10.17).
So yeah, I’ve finally been bitten by the reading bug (again).
You’ll see me using Korean on this blog from time to time, either for practice, or simply because I want to. I am by no means fluent in Korean, but I am trying (my main problem is vocabulary… the rest will come later). Perhaps I might even say something in Japanese (which has been walking out on me daily for the past 5 years -_-;;).
That’s about it, from time to time I might talk about a book I read (including thoughts, feelings, etc.). I am by no means a literary “buff,” but sometimes I think it’s only fair that I share my thoughts in some form or another.
Hence… this blog.
Enjoy~
